After a user completes the self-registration process, their account is routed to the CURE Administrators for approval. While the approval is pending, the account will display a Pending Approval status.
If you encounter an account with this status, please provide the SR below to advise the user that once their account is approved, they will receive an email confirmation notifying them that their account is active.
IMPORTANT!
We do not have permission to activate or approve accounts. If a user’s account has not been approved or activated within a few business days, please escalate the issue to the Administrators.
When escalating, please ensure to include the following information in your ticket. - First and Last Name:
- Email Address associated with your NCUA CURE account:
- Are you an Employee or a Volunteer?:
- Division:
- Credit Union Name:

WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW? Process the NCUA CURE Administrators follow for account approval: - The Administrators attempt to respond to account creation requests within the same day.
- Users who provide their credit union name and confirm if they are an employee or volunteer will have their account approved and receive a welcome email.
- Users who do not provide a credit union name will receive a follow-up email requesting confirmation.
- If no response is received within one week, a second follow-up email is sent.
- If the user still does not respond within one week of the second follow-up, the account request is denied and placed in inactive status.
- If the user provides the required information later, either by contacting us or replying directly to the Administrators, the account can be approved and marked active by the Administrators.
This process ensures all registered users are verified as credit union employees or volunteers. |
